Monthly Meeting Minutes 4 Sep 2025
4 September 2025
Sugar Bowl Restaurant, 402 W. Hwy. 20, Michigan City, IN 46360. 4 September, 2025.
Group: Ray, and Bill handed in samples of a Group follow-up email to Governor Mike Braun’s Property Tax response to Frank.
Action: Doug will combine letters and develop a group response email.
Michael: Gave update on the Thursday, August 28th John Birch Society meeting. Sees JBS as an educational resource. They carry a lot of baggage that they did not earn. JBS has been warning us to get out of the UN, World Health Organization, World Economic Forum. None of these organizations have benefited the USA.
Action: Doug made the statement that MC2AG is never going to join with JBS.
Dr. Audrius: Regarding Medical Updates, a lot has changed in the last week. The CDC had actually recommended pregnant women should get that COVID shot, even though COVID has now become nothing more than a common cold. RFK Jr. came against that. Now the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology is saying don’t listen to the CDC and are saying pregnant woman should get the COVID shots. What a flip. The American Academy of Pediatrics has now taken the same approach, pushing the COVID shots. Indiana should follow the way of Florida, giving the parent’s the choice of what shots their children receive.
Action: For now, the best thing for our group to do is do nothing, let’s let this play out.
Frank: Updates on Property Tax. When Frank builds a Power Point or puts together a chart, he always makes sure there is data behind it to back it up. He uses AI a lot to confirm his data. So, numbers from (DLGF) and what we get from our Assessor’s office do not match the AI data.
Action: Bill will set up a meeting with Frank and someone from the Assessors Office to have them put pen to paper and show us how they came up with their numbers. Bill is going to print up a few hundred flyers to do another canvasing in Trail Creek, Coolspring Township.
Group: update on City Council Royal Rd. Data Center meeting. Attended a Michigan City Council meeting. Many showed up to protest. An emotionally charged meeting. When all was said and done the City passed the Data Center.
Action: No action on the Group’s part needed.
Group: where are we at regarding our October 6th, live WCOE Radio discussion?
Action: Group is working on typical questions preparing for the event.
Group: where are we at regarding our preparation for the October 10th Legislative / public discussion?
Action: All is ready at the Salvation Army. Bill and Frank are going to polish up the Power Point. Perhaps Chris Cleveland will also require a Power Point needed to describe how other States are handling their Property Tax issues.
