Election Integrity and Voter Fraud:

MC2AG attended a seminar hosted by the John Birch Society, presented by Kris Jurski on dealing with voter fraud. Currently Kris is working in Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and Georgia. Other topics included election integrity, with discussions on voter fraud investigations and canvassing efforts. The group discussed experiences from canvassing efforts in LaPorte County, highlighting anomalies in voter rolls and the challenges faced in verifying information.

The outcome:

Clean voter rolls and eliminate Passports as voter ID. Solicit the help of Heather Stevens and Christen Zabel. Encourage PCs to get their Walking Lists. Continue canvassing efforts to gather more data on voter fraud and election integrity.

Update:

At the Golf Outing had conversation with Heather Stevens and Christen Zabel. At a later date, both voiced their desire to help with “election integrity” issues. Property Tax Issues for Seniors Referenced letter from Congressional District-1 Representative Frank Mrvan regarding Property Taxes on Senior citizens. Frank encouraged us to get with our local Legislators, and get familiar with the Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF). Today’s meeting covered a range of topics, primarily focusing on property tax issues affecting seniors in Trail Creek. The group discussed the discrepancies in property taxes between Coolspring and Michigan Townships and its financial burden on seniors. MC2AG is planning to hold a meeting with State Legislators to address these concerns, on 10-10-25 at 4:00pm, location to be determined. MC2AG had a teleconference with Senator Rodney Pol. He encouraged us to broaden our scope. To include Representatives Pat Boy, Jim Pressel, Chuck Moseley, and Senator Mike Bohacek. Rodney also encouraged us to get with (DLGF), which we did. We contacted Indiana NW Region – Assessment Field Representative Steve McKinney and he also encouraged us to work with our Legislators. A handout was provided, “Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) Explained.” Legislators Rodney Pol, Mike Bohacek, Jim Pressel, agreed to set the conference date for October 10th, at 4:00 pm, place to be determined. Senator Bohacek was at this meeting and asked, if you cut back on taxes, what services are you willing to do without? A worthy question when balancing State, County, and Local government.

Update:

At the Golf Outing had opportunity to discuss this issue with Representative Jim Pressel. He checked his calendar and scheduled to meet with us on 10-10-25. During the Republican breakfast, discussed the meeting date with Senator Mike Bohacek. He also set his schedule to attend our meeting on 10-10-25.

Action:

Secure a hall, then make flyers to distribute during a canvasing effort. Negotiate an on- the-air discussion on WEFM, 95.9 FM, Michigan City. Send update emails to Representatives:
Pat Boy, Jim Pressel, Chuck Moseley, and Senators: Rodney Pol, and Mike Bohacek. Prepare for door to door canvasing of Trail Creek, Coolspring Township.

Local Development Projects

The group touched on local development projects, such as a data center, on Royal Road. The data center project was seen as a potential source of tax revenue despite some objections.
The “Drug Free Partnership” rehabilitation residence, and their potential impacts, on Ann St. and Wabash St. residence concerns were raised about the proximity of the rehabilitation residence to a nearby elementary school, St. Stanislaus preschool – 8thgrade. and now is on hold.

Website Updates:

The meeting concluded with updates on the group's website and plans for future meetings and actions. Frank provided an update on the group's website. Frank encouraged all to vote on the tax
survey aimed at gathering data from county residents. The results of this survey could be very useful when talking to our Legislators. Update the group's website with meeting notes and other relevant information. Frank updates the website daily. Web address: www.mc2ag.htmlplanet.com.

Future Issues:

Future plans include attending local Michigan City Council and School Board meetings to stay informed on community issues. During the Republican Breakfast Senator Mike Bohacek solicited the group to submit ideas of what items the upcoming legislative sessions should focus on. The contact information is easily accessible on MC2AG’s Website. Go to:www.mc2ag.htmlplanet.com, then click the tab: “Contact Your Representative”. This is extremely important! While you are in the Website, please take the: “Property Tax Poll”. The results will be shared at the October 10th meeting.
