HELP FOR THE LEGISLATORS
 
11.  Should MC2AG Offer suggestions of Assessor and Property Tax issues for House and
Senate Bills? Examples:
 
     a.  Hit 65 and cap the resident’s State Property Tax
 
     b.  Hit 65 and eliminate the State Property Tax
 
     c.  After 65 a progressive reduction in Property Tax
 
 
OVER 65 CIRCUIT BREAKER CREDIT (ADJUST TO INCLUDE INFLATION)
 
12.  Turned 65 or older by December 31 of the prior year.
 
13.  Have qualified for the homestead standard deduction on the property this year and last
year.
 
14.  Have an adjusted gross income of $30,000 or less, or a combined adjusted gross income
with your spouse of $40,000 or less.
 
15.  Have a gross assessed property value of $200,000 or less on the homestead portion of
the property. You can find the value of the homestead portion of your property on your
tax bill or property record card.
 
16.  Own, be buying on recorded contract, or have a beneficial interest in the property.
